Best AA, AAA, 18650 charger I got! I much prefer it even over MC3000. It measures battery internal resistance quite accurately and the best feature is the automatic mode the whole family can use. In automatic mode It adjusts the charging current depending on internal resistance. So old batteries with high resistance charge slower and newer quality batteries charge faster. Brilliant.
But there is a catch. Especially when charging/discharging 18650 calls it emits high pitch sounds that can drive you creasy. Sound comes from the fan control PWM and also from buck converter when charging. I hope they can fix this with frequency increase and add a filter after the FAN PWM and use some better inductors/MLCCs for the buck converters.
I've received the C4 Evo and updated to the latest firmware (1.0.0.44). Apparently, there is a 1.0.0.46 version out on the internet but this was not offered by the FW updater.
With my version 1.5V Li-ion AA are not detected.
Last firmware is not working properly. AA 1.5V is not detected, while AAA 1.5V support is OK. No more Analyze/Store/Cycle/Discharge functionality even for 18650 Li-Ion, i'm very disappointed
Device has a great potential, but company does not assign enough of developer resources to make this perfect charger. Latest FW update introduced support for 1.5V Li-ion AA and AAA charging, but broke other modes (Cycle, Discharge for NiMh) and for some ppl it broke Li-Ion discharge and cell can be destroyed. This tells that this device could have been N1 charger but company doesn't assign enough QA and Dev resources to it.
Ce chargeur est très complet.
Il est possible de régler l'ampérage pour la charge, de demander à ce que toutes nouvelles batteries soit déchargée avant d'être rechargée, etc.
Ce chargeur est tellement paramétrable que c'est plus un produit qui s'adresse à des personnes un peu expertes. Effectivement, on peut régler l'ampérage, mais si on règle ce dernier trop fort, ce n'est pas bon pour la batterie.
Le produit peut être mis à jour, petite doléance, car quand on change de langage, en français, certains textes ne sont pas renseignés (à date). Maintenant, en anglais, pas de soucis. Les updates de firmware semblent avoir apporté des améliorations sur des éléments pour lesquels des personnes souhaitent voir des évolutions.
